County GIS User Groups

Anoka County GIS User Group
The user group meets quarterly at the Anoka County Government Center.  The group consists of the county, cities, townships, the SWCD and consultants who provide GIS services for cities and watershed districts within Anoka County.  The group focuses on GIS related issues including available data sets, collaborative projects, data sharing and emerging GIS technologies.  Interested persons should contact John Slusarczyk at 763-323-5503 or john.slusarczyk@co.anoka.mn.us

Carver County GIS User Group
The group meets a couple times a year at the Carver County Government Center in Chaska. The group consists of the county, cities, townships, school districts, and utilities in Carver County. The group focus is on GIS projects/implementations within the county and region.  Covering available datasets and encourages the exchange of locally produced data among the participants. Anyone interested in attending a user group meeting or wanting more information can contact Peter Henschel at phenschel@co.carver.mn.us.

Dakota County GIS User Group
The group meets quarterly at the Western Service Center in Apple Valley. The group consists of the county, cities, school districts, SWCD and utilities that are in Dakota County. The group focuses on the potential uses of existing and emerging GIS applications and technologies as well as the use of local GIS data. Interested persons should contact the Dakota County Office of GIS at 952-891-7081 or gis@co.dakota.mn.us

Hennepin County GIS User Group
The group meets quarterly at a Hennepin County location.  The group is open to anyone and represents members from all sectors, many from local government.  The mission is to communicate ideas, resolve problems and increase effectiveness of GIS use in Hennepin County. Ramsey County GIS User Group
The group meets monthly at a Ramsey County location and is non-software
specific. The group consists of the county, cities, townships, watershed
districts, school districts, etc. The group also maintains a countywide
online mapping application.  The group's website is http://www.ramseygis.com

Scott County GIS User Group
The group meets quarterly at the Prior Lake City Hall. This group consists of the county, cities, utilities, watershed district and other governmental entities in Scott County. The group discusses topics of interest and focuses on the exchange and use of local GIS data. Washington County GIS User Group
The group meets occasionally at a Washington County location. The group focuses on local government needs, including: county, cities, townships, school districts, watersheds, SWCD, etc. The contact person for the group is Adam Snegosky.
