Dear Prospective Proposers,
A qualified consultant is desired to serve as Technical Project Manager to guide preparations to host a proposed geo applications contest modeled after the Apps for Democracy Contest hosted by Washington D.C. The geographic scope is statewide (Minnesota). Funding and staff support have thus far been committed by MetroGIS and Metropolitan Council and efforts are in progress to secure funding from other organizations that have interests beyond the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area.
Please see the solicitation for Statements of Interest (RfI) for more information about the proposed contest and expectations of the subject Technical Project Manager. The project sponsors have elected to use a RfI format because we are not sure that any individuals or firms will be interested in serving in this capacity. Please forward this request along to others whom you believe may have an interest in doing so.
To qualify for consideration, written proposals must be received by noon on Thursday, March 18. Please submit questions and proposals to me (Randall Johnson) at randy.johnson@metc.state.mn.us). Please specify “Technical Project Manager – Geo Applications Contest” in the subject line. Your statement of interest should: a) not exceed 2-3 pages, b) explain how your expertise aligns with the stated expectations for the proposed Technical Project Manager’s responsibilities and qualifications and c) stipulate whether the estimated fee for these services is realistic.
Respectfully,
Randall L. Johnson, AICP
