Since 1998, MetroGIS has implemented several Internet-based geospatial applications, in addition to MetroGIS DataFinder. Those currently available are listed below, along with links to each. Refer to “Related Topics” below for links to explanations of the history associated with these applications.
GeoService Finder is a resource for finding geospatial applications and web services. It was developed in a collaboration between MetroGIS and the MN Land Management Information Center.
MetroGIS Geocoder is a Web Service that takes Address or Intersection requests and returns closest matches with their latitude-longitude, based on the parcel and TLG streets layers. The service is built with open source code that is available for download.
