The Data Access Advisory Team worked to identify the mechanisms for indexing, describing, and accessing
current, accurate, secure and usable geographically-referenced graphic and associated attribute data. As a result of
the findings of the 1998 Participant Satisfaction Survey, this team
was consolidated into the Technical Advisory Team in October 1998.
The Data Content Team worked to identify the datasets and the characteristics that provided the greatest
utility for the Metro area GIS community. As a result of the findings of the
1998 Participant Satisfaction Survey, this team was consolidated into
the Technical Advisory Team in October 1998.
The Data Standards Team worked to identify and/or develop standards that allow data sharing among the
participants of MetroGIS. As a result of the findings of the 1998
Participant Satisfaction Survey, this team was consolidated into the Technical Advisory
Team in October 1998.
The Policy Advisory Team worked to identify strategies to obtain stakeholder commitment and financial support
for a sustainable MetroGIS. A new organizational structure was adopted by the
Policy Board on July 11, 2001, resulting in the elimination of this team. The Coordinating Committee and its task-specific workgroups now carry out the functions of the
former Policy Advisory Team.
